Our story

Why Fittest of Survivors?

Fittest of Survivors is the only fitness program in the Triangle Area providing cancer survivors quality, one-on-one individual attention from a Certified Cancer Rehabilitation Specialist as they work to achieve their personal fitness goals. The dedicated and knowledgeable healthcare professionals who work with the Fittest of Survivors clients are committed to the improved wellness and quality of life of each individual cancer survivor.

How it works

Fittest of Survivors is orchestrated to safely work with patients once they have completed their formal therapies and cancer treatments.  The program can begin with the patient at any time once they have been cleared by their doctor to begin an exercise program.  Fittest of Survivors addresses strength, conditioning, and balance.  A Certified Cancer Rehabilitation Specialist meets with the survivor in the client's home. The client's personal fitness goals are established and a training schedule is determined that will best help to achieve these goals.  Exercise equipment which is easily used in a home fitness program is provided for the training sessions.  Sessions are scheduled to last 50 minutes.  Cost per session is $50.
